I organise fun events throughout the year, online or in person. The most popular is the Pocodogs Dog Show, which is a big yearly event in Upton Country Park, Dorset.

KAD (Kids Around Dogs): Writing Competition – FREE Online event

This Writing competition is open to all kids from 6 to 14 years of age. Because of the different writing abilities, parents are welcome to help out! Pictures along with writing will be also welcomed, but writing is essential part of the story.

Although this is not a school project, please make sure your spelling is correct and that your writing is clear and the story makes sense.

Theme:

Kids Around Dogs! – Tell us a story or an event that involves your dog or a dog of someone you know, and that you particularly love.
This story can be fictional or non-fictional.

Layout:

Write your name, surname, age, title of the story and if Fiction or non-fiction at the top of the page. If your story is longer than one page, please put your name on all of the pages and the number of page at the bottom of each one.
If the story is written on a computer, please use an easy-to-read font (for example: Arial, Calibri, Helvetica), Font size 12.
Please, make sure the story is legible, if hand-written.

How to apply:

Send your story between the 20th of July to the 29th of August 2020 to pococompany@gmail.com. Please, make sure to write ‘KAD Writing Competition – Child Name & Story Title’ on the Subject of the email.
Attach the file to the body of the email.

Only one story per child will be allowed.

This competition is FREE to enter. However, Sharing the KAD group and Pocodogs page is also free, so please, tell your family and friends about us.
