*I am currently only taking on clients with children in the family unit
I am a qualified behaviourist with the International School of Canine Psychology and Behaviour (ISCP) and, on behavioural consultations, I can help cover the following issues:

- Anxious behaviour, such as separation anxiety
- Noise phobias, such as fireworks
- Neophobia, such as fear of the vet/groomer/all new places
- Barking excessively and other kind of vocalisations
- Canine Compulsive Behaviours, such as light/shadow chasing; excessive licking; spinning (tail chasing)
- Reactive towards other dogs or people
- Highly excitable
Book your free discovery call
To better identify the issues you have, I offer you a free 15 minute phone discovery call, where we discuss the problems you are having with your dog.

How does is all work?
After our first 15 minutes phone discovery call, I will send you a simple form where I will be asking for you vet’s information. You will then return the form, signed, along with your dog’s medical history. I will also ask for your dog to have a medical check-up prior to our session. This is a veterinary referral, which is necessary when working with behavioural cases.
Details of your behavioural consultation with Debby:
- Phone discovery call: 15 minute pre-assessment and email start up advice
- Medical check-up and liaising with your vet (I might also need to talk to your vet myself)
- In house or online consultation of up to two hours
- Email with a training plan and therapy report up to 72 hours after our consultation
During our session we will discuss strategies to best manage your dog’s emotions and behaviours, as to prevent them from happening again. We will then work on changing your dog’s feelings and behaviours, without ever putting your dog in a situation it doesn’t want to be in. The emotional and physical well-being of your dog is of the utmost importance.
Please, bear in mind that one off session rarely will help dogs in the long-term. It is important to consider ongoing support. Some cases will require additional in person coaching sessions to achieve measurable results.
Your initial consultation costs £180.

Note:
While behavioural work and good manners training is interlinked, they are rather different. As a behaviourist, I will address the reason behind your dog’s way of thinking and why your dog acts the way it does; and we will work on changing your dog’s negative emotions into positive ones. Dog training, however, works on teaching our dog what you want him to do. For example, if a dog consistently jumps on people, we can train your dog to do something else instead of jumping up, without addressing the reason why he is doing so. However, with behavioural work, we can address the reason behind his actions and change his feelings which will help him stop the behaviour too. This will ultimately help your dog to live a happier and more relaxed life.
So, please consider the Pocodogs full behavioural modification package, if your dog needs ongoing support.
